Sustainability
Lizer strongly believes in supporting the environment and
preserving it for future generations. As earth stewards, we believe
that this starts with the green industry. If we do our part, our
generation will leave behind a cleaner, healthier, more sustainable earth
than the one we inherited. Through progresive initiatives, it is
feasable that we can leave behind a smaller footprint and create landscapes
that are attractive and fully functioning ecosystems. Together,
we can make a difference.

The Incredible, Edible Landscape
This is not your mama's garden
and with the cost of fresh food skyrocketing, why not look to this beautiful
simple, and environmental alternative.

Martix Design
Gone are the days of gardening by "Trowel and
Error." Matrix design "listens" to the site's unique attributes and
recommends which plants will be the "right plant, right place" to minimize
resources

|
Native Plant Emphasis
Native palnts are strong, beautiful and fully sustainable in our specific
environments. They tend to require little care, less water, and are
not dependant on chemicals to maintain their health.

|
Rain Gardens
Nothing is as low impact yet environmental as installing a rain garden.
A rain garden will effectively reduce stormwater runoff while creating a
balanced habitat for butterflies, beneficial insects and local
wildlife.

|
Permeable Paving
Over 70% of all water pollution comes from runoff. By installing
permeable pavers you are helping to eleviate this type of pollution while
cleaning the water and recharging our aquifers.
|

|
Water Harvesting
The average irrigation system uses 6,500 gallons
annually. A harvesting system can collect over 10,000 gallons.
That's enough non-chlorinated water for your lawn, plants, cars, and other
uses.

|
Recycled/Recyclable Products
If it can't be recycled it goes to the landfill.
We believe the less this happens, the better it will be for future
generations. That means new products with post consumer content and/or
ability to be fully reused are our most viable options
