Ornamental Pond Gallery
Over the years, Lizer has become know for our expertise in pond design and installation.  Because of our reputation, we install more ponds than any other landscape company in Northeast Wisconsin.

Water brings peace and tranquility to your property. Imagine a babbling brook, crystal clear pond, colorful fish, and blooming plants.  The sites and sounds of a pond drown out the stresses from a hard day. Our ponds and water gardens are naturally low maintenance, balanced ecosystems.

Let our creative and artistic staff turn you yard into your own private retreat. We will bring the peace and tranquility that the sound of water has to your backyard paradise.  Please the following slides to see examples of some of our memorable water features...

The Beauty of Cascading Water
This is an ornamental water garden at a local apartment complex.  Multiple waterfalls provide a Northern Wisconsin feel while marginal plants and lillypads complete the effect.  A patio cantilevers over the pond to provide interaction with the Koi and Goldfish.

Bridging the Distance
Water is very enticing in a landscape and being able to interact with it is of vital importance.  When designing a water feature, a simple limestone bridge provides that ability to interact with the water.  What a great place to feed your Koi or sit and cool your feet.

Subtle Water Movement Makes a Difference
Sometimes, making a large waterfall on a flat property looks awkward.  The truth is, providing gentle relief with many small waterfalls can be even more enjoyable, look more natural,  and sound just as relaxing.

A Botanical Pleasure
Ponds are unique ecosystems.  In addition to the standard plants like waterlillies and water hyacinth, there are many marginal plants that will grow in water less than 3" deep.   Iris, Chameleon Plant, Canna, and various Rushes add beauty and provide food and habitat for fish and other aquatic animals.

The Rapid Movement of a Wisconsin Stream
Providing fast moving water is another way to ad interest to a pond.  The sound and shimmer of a "rapids' add an additional level to the enjoyment a pond can offer.  The shallow pools that are created provide drinking opportunities for birds and butterflies.

The Joy of Koi
Koi are an ornamental Japanese fish with large scales.  They come in many bright colors and swim with ease and grace in a pond.  Koi help maintain a healthy ecosystem in a pond by eating algae.  In addition, Koi can be trained to eat "treats" directly from your fingers and become like pets to many of our customers.

A Diverse Aquatic Ecosystem
This picture shows a pond in complete balance.  All of our ponds come prepared for success; A biological filter, mechanical filter, aeration, bacteria, plants, and fish provide all that is necessary to have a happy, healthy pond.

Intimate Stream Garden
A close-up view of a stream and waterfall system shows how using random sized boulders and coble can create a natural looking water feature.

Aquatic Plants Add Beauty
In addition to the waterfall, plants such as the Water Hyacinth provide oxygenation for the water.
