We are committed to providing you with the highest quality designers available in Northeast Wisconsin.  As a result, we require a commitment of $100 for our initial on-site consultation.  If you choose to proceed with the design process, the fee will be counted as a retainer and will be deducted from your final design bill.  If you choose to proceed in a different direction, you will receive a $100 gift certificate good towards purchases in our nursery.  No loss, guaranteed.

Billing Rates are as Follows:  

Landscape Architect:  $85.00/hr. 

Senior Landscape Designer:  $65.00/hr.  

Associate Landscape Designer:  $55.00/hr. 

Clerical Services:  $35.00/hr.  

Travel and Associated Fees:      

Travel Time to be 1/2 standard billing rate

Mileage Reimbursement: $.55/mile if over 20 miles from office     

Reimbursable Expenses: Cost plus 25%

For the preliminary design, construction documents, bidding and construction phases of the project, we invoice you at or standard billing rate (as listed above) for hours worked up to a maximum fee that will be proposed to you in a written design agreement.

The average residential design rarely exceeds $2000.00 and is more often between $800 to $1500**.  All of our design fees are refundable upon the completion of your full project installation.  All design fees will be deducted from your final installation bill.

If after completing your design you choose not to install our landscape plan, you will be charged for the design services in full.  If you decide to have Lizer  install the landscape plan at a later time, your design fee will be refunded at that time.

**Typical project fees add up to around 8% to 15% of the construction budget. If you're working within a strict budget, we will calculate your construction budget using the following steps. First, we determine your overall project budget, and then subtract my professional design fees at 8% to 15% of the total. Next, we subtract state sales tax on the construction funds only. The remaining funds available constitute your construction budget.
